Hello. My name is Katherine Ornelas, but I go by Kathy for short. I am a product design manager, master of DIY, Csuf alumni, and I model. Well, 3D Model that is!

Even though I was raised in the Bay Area, I was actually born in London, England. I’m sorry to disappoint, but no, I do not have a British accent. I moved away from the Bay to attend college where I got my bachelor’s degree in Animation/Entertainment Art at California State University, Fullerton.

As a little girl, my eyes were always glued to the television set. I would memorize how to draw all my favorite cartoons. Ten-year-old me swore I could draw them with my eyes closed. Newsflash, I couldn’t, but at least I’ve gotten better at it. Once I got older, my collection of trading pins really inspired me to think about composition and design. Those little pins were the first thing to really get me thinking of pursuing a career in the Arts.   

While I continue to build my portfolio, I would absolutely cherish a job in 3D Modeling or Product Design. If you’re looking for a high-spirited hard worker who sometimes chuckles too much, then I’m your gal!   

On my days off, I usually like to film and edit videos of my DIY projects. I’m always working on art in one form or another. One time I made a cat scratcher shaped like a cactus, and called it a cat-cus. Another time I made props for my Halloween costume using only materials I had at home. You never know where creativity may strike!
